What I'm Playing This Weekend #2
By Andrew
As I try to figure out what kind of longer pieces I’ll write for this blog, once again here are some thoughts on the games I’m currently playing.
I am still working my way through Metroid Prime. There is so much to like about this game, and honestly, it really does feel like it’s a new release. It looks absolutely wonderful. If this is what we’ll get for Prime 4 then I’m certainly very excitied. Judging by what I saw in a guide I glanced at I’m about half way through the game now. Currently I’m running low on the number of artifacts I’ve collected, so I’m wondering whether now the game will shift gears slightly from acquiring abilities to searching for artifacts. As I dig in further I will find out. Also, the music in the snowy area is brilliant!
One Metroid game isn’t enough for me it seems, as I’ve continued on with Metroid Zero Mission on the GBA. I’m fairly sure now that I do still prefer the 2D games despite how much I’m enjoying Prime. I’m playing Zero Mission on the Analogue Pocket, which is a wonderful device. Once I’ve cracked Zero Mission I might dare to resume Fusion, where I’m still stuck on the terrible trash robot boss.
Finally, I’ve picked up Sekiro again on the Xbox in the current sale. It’s the only From game which I hadn’t re-purchased after moving on from PC gaming. This time I want to give it a really good go after being defeated by the huge difficulty on my first attempt. It seems that the key is not to play it like a Souls game. I hope for better luck this time.
And, that’s it. See you next time.
